Dear Editor,

With the intense public interest in the Internet, there is a growing need for basic information about what it is and how it works. To that end, I have written two articles that I am making available to newspapers, magazines and newsletters at no charge.

Larry Magid's Concise Guide to the Internet is a series of questions and answers about the Internet and Terms of Enclearment: An Internet Glossary is a short glossary of Internet and online terms.

Both are copyrighted but I am willing to extend permission to reprint or excerpt either or both of these articles under the following conditions:

  1. You must request and be given permission. To do so, send me e-mail. I reserve the right to withhold permission to any publication including (but not necessarily) those that are direct competitors of publications I write for.
  2. You may not sell the article as a stand-alone publication although you may include it in a magazine, newsletter or newspaper which is sold.
  3. You may not post the article online unless you routinely post all articles that appear in your printed publication. If you do post it, you must include a link to Larry's World (http://www.larrysworld.com).
  4. You must include the following copyright notice on the reprint: "© 1996, 1997 Lawrence J. Magid. Reprinted by permission."
  5. You must publish the following tag line with the article or any excerpt from the article that includes material from these articles:
